Okay! so let’s get started when I started my university life so I was fell in the field of Software Engineering even though I was opting for Civil or Mechanical engineering. In my Intermediate courses I studied mathematics and was not having any knowledge about computers and softwares. Initially, what I thought about software engineering was to supply some sort of softwares to different shops and what my neighbours started thinking about me was to repair mobile phone or laptop and some of them started showing me their mobile phones and laptops to repair and what I started studying in University was different from what people and I was expecting.
On 2nd day in my university I was told by someone to connect my mobile phone with WIFI believe me I thought I need to plug in some sort of cables with my mobile phone then some one guided me how to connect with wifi. The purpose of sharing this is that if a person who doesn’t even know how to connect a mobile phone with wifi can earn $70K as freelancer so why can’t you?
In, my university life I was facing some financial issues and could hardly manage my transport rent for daily visiting university I still remember that I would try to with a person who had a bike reason behind that was the bike owner could not ask for rent. I was given very little money to spend for whole week so I couldn’t afforded anything luxurious even though I wished a lot to spend like my other university mates. After spending sometime in university I came across about google and youtube and instead of watching movies I started searching how to earn money and followed too many ways but all went in vain.
In my second semester one of our teacher briefed us about freelancing and shared some of his stories which really motivated me to start search freelancing. Now after uni time I used to search what freelancing is and how can we earn money with freelancing. I cam across fiverr and upwork at that time and freelancer. I created account with all of them but still I was not aware of how to get order and get payment etc.
In my exploration of Fiverr, I encountered diverse skills that intrigued me, and I decided to acquire unique abilities based on client requests. One particular client needed assistance setting up buttons in a Shopify store, a task I initially knew little about. Despite the absence of helpful resources on YouTube, I stumbled upon a paid Udemy course with considerable enrollment. This inspired me to create an enhanced version of the course. After two months of rigorous work, I uploaded my “How to Set Up a Shopify Store” course on Udemy. Unfortunately, it faced rejection due to voice quality issues. While disheartening, the experience deepened my understanding of Shopify store development.
Undeterred by the Udemy setback, I leveraged my newfound expertise to create a Fiverr gig offering Shopify store development services. Through strategic optimization, I managed to secure a spot on the first page, attracting a steady flow of daily orders. The demand became overwhelming, prompting me to start outsourcing to keep up. Over time, I transformed into a Top-Rated Seller on Fiverr, serving over a thousand satisfied clients. The journey from Udemy rejection to Fiverr success taught me valuable lessons about resilience and adaptability.
In my early freelancing days on Fiverr, lacking specific skills, I launched a gig formatting MS Word files, which surprisingly gained attention. Excitement filled me when I received my first project. However, a slow internet connection in my village posed challenges during file uploads. Faced with this obstacle, I transferred the task to my Android phone, seeking optimal signal locations to ensure timely project delivery. Despite multiple attempts and client claims of missing attachments, perseverance paid off. On the fifth attempt, I discovered that the client had indeed accepted the delivery, marking a joyful and proud moment.
This journey, marked by rejection, resilience, and adaptability, highlights the transformative power of setbacks in shaping a path to success. The Fiverr platform not only served as a learning ground but also became the stage where I honed my skills, overcame challenges, and built a successful freelancing career.
